Strategy Consultant - Financial Services

 

 

We are recruiting for a Consultant in the team. Working as a senior member of the team your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with an Associate Director to lead and deliver commercial and market reviews, strategic studies, and business plan reviews
  • Driving the design of commercial and financial analysis e.g. market analysis, business model analysis, competitive benchmarking, strategic rationale and fit etc.
  • Actively building and managing the relationship and interface with international Strategy and other deal advisory professionals
  • For medium to large engagements, being actively involved in structuring the output and its delivery
  • Being responsible for design and quality of deliverables
  • Directing, managing and mentoring junior team members on engagements
  • Recruiting, managing and contributing to the development of junior staff
  • Supporting onshore teams or leading business development initiatives, including bid proposal and management
  • Contributing to thought leadership and knowledge management to support practice development

 

Job Requirements

Mandatory Skills

  • Qualifications: MBAs, CFAs and Engineers from a leading Indian/International educational institution
  • Relevant experience (1-6 years) gained in either corporate roles, strategy consulting, or similar analytical/ deal experience in Financial Services/ Insurance
  • Credible record of operating as an independent contributor and also working as part of a team during larger projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to drive through to an outcome in circumstances of complexity and ambiguity
  • Goal driven – should be focused on helping clients meet their requirements – by developing answers and solutions when client requirement remains unclear / changes, and by providing relevant insights and key questions to fit the client objective
  • Credible record of operating at a team management level
  • Experience of leading project teams and developing proposals
  • Driven and ability to work independently
  • Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills - able to demonstrate how one supports the other - and sound commercial acumen
